Founded in 1909, Congregation Men of Justice (Anshe Zedek) was constructed in 1913 to the designs of architects Farber & Nurick.
Congregation Beth Jacob, S. Baum, rabbi, have determined to rebuild the synagogue on the east side of Keap near South 4th Street partly destroyed by lightning “some weeks ago”.1 In 1898 Hyde atlas, building appears as wood frame.
Now Greater Bibleway Temple. Construction of the temple was "under the direction of I. Levingson, chairman of the Building Committee". Cost of construction was estimated at $100,000. A lot fronting Lincoln Place was set aside for the residence of the rabbi.

Victoria st and Amherst av, Jamaica, has the general contract for a 1-sty frame synagogue, 68x65 ft, on the north side of Hillside av, 200 ft west of Union Hall st, Jamaica, for the Congregation Temple Israel, Rev. G. Lipkind, rabbi, Palo Alto av, Hollis, L. I., owner. Cost, $30,000. Plans were prepared by Wm. Von Felde, 2188 Metropolitan av, Middle Village, L. I.
