German national parish founded in 1856. College Point was established as a factory town by Conrad Poppenhausen in 1853.
Old school of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, Queens. Altered 1928.1
Constructed in 1954-55, this school was one of the later additions to the oldest parish in Queens County.
