Mae West is famous for a lot of things, some of which are true. But there is no truth to the well-peddled rumor that she lived at 96 Berry Street (now Teddy's Bar). Or that her dad worked there. Or that she is in any way related to Doelger beer family (memorialized in the stained glass storefront of Teddy's Bar).
