Cornerstone laid in September, 1859; the church was completed by October, 1860. The building was designed by Patrick Keely with interior decorations by "Mr. Cresionina and frescoes by Mr. Augero".1 Keely also designed the rectory (on Warren Street) and academy (on Hicks Street). The entire complex is located in the Cobble Hill Historic District and was converted to condominiums in the early 2000s.
